Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love, kindness, mercy, and grace. You are a God who loves and desires a relationship with me jealously. Yet, you are patient with me. You tenderly take my hand and lead me to you. You are a good shepherd. Thank you for not letting this one sheep stray.
Lord, teach me to approach your throne of grace with confidence. When I doubt whether you are near or want to hear my prayers, remind me that you not only hear my prayers but also love me so much that Jesus and the Holy Spirit intercede on my behalf. Please give me the courage to stand before you without masks or pretense and bear my heart, trusting that you love and want what is best for me.
Forgive me for those sins that hinder my testimony. Thank you for your Son that experienced temptation but did not sin. Please help me to follow his example so that you will be glorified through my life and your name magnified. I need your grace in my home, at my job, with my children, and in my marriage and other relationships. Please pour your grace into my life, and teach me to be a vessel of grace in the lives of others.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
