I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:12-13)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all that you’ve done—everything I need you provide. You care for me when I’m on the mountain and when I’m in the valley. You’ve walked beside me my entire life. Thank you, Lord.
Please help me to trust you in all things. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with life and forget you are in control, working things together for good. Please remind me of this when I doubt or lack faith, and teach me to keep my eyes fixed on you. As I grow in faith, please pour a spirit of contentment into me. Please remind me that strength comes from you and teach me to rely on you for all things.
May my contentment in and through you encourage those around me.
