Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being my example of an encourager. You lift me when I am worn and tired and comfort me when I am brokenhearted. You whisper your love to me continually. You pursue me with relentless passion. Thank you.
Lord, there have been times when I have become overwhelmed with life and so focused on myself and my problems that I neglected to think of another. During these times, isolating and self-soothe may have seemed easier than serving others. Please forgive me. Please help me to be intentional about encouraging and comforting other people, and help me never to be too busy to do so. Lord, please give me a heart that seeks out people to build up. Please teach me how to pursue loving others through my words, but especially through my deeds.
May every word I speak reflect your love, holiness, and wisdom.
