Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us (Hebrews 12:1)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that speaks truth and gives life and for your Holy Spirit that emboldens and enables me to live a life of freedom and joy.
Please show me any thoughts, habits, words, or actions against your will. I don’t want to be overcome by sin; I want to overflow with your Spirit. Shine your light of truth onto any sinfulness in my life, and give me a repentant heart, ready to turn every area over to you. Please place within me a perseverant spirit that endeavors to push past any trial or tribulation and help me not to falter in the face of difficulty.
Please allow the race I run to be used as a testimony of your grace and power.
