Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being a Holy God, full of love and perfect. You have always provided for me. Thank you for being all that I need and providing a way for me to be in right relationship with you. Thank you for providing a way out when I am tempted.
Please show me how to live a life that is pleasing to you. I want my life to glorify you. Forgive me for watching, listening to, participating in, or consuming things that dishonor you. If I have not been seeking you as I should, forgive me. Please pour into me a love for your Word and a heart that is tender to your will, and give me a renewed heart for worship.
Thank you for your Holy Spirit that gives good gifts. I want to know you intimately. Please give me the gift of discernment to know your will, show me if I have been conforming to the world, and turn my heart fully to you. Please renew my mind.
Lord, I want to be an obedient reflection of your Son, Jesus Christ. Please transform me.
