Daily Hope & a Prayer – July 29

You have not given me into the hands of the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place. Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and body with grief. My life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning; my strength fails because of my affliction, and my bones grow weak. Psalm 31:8-10

Dear Father,

In my times of distress and grief you are the great Comforter. In my times of shame and regret your forgiveness is as a cool breeze during the desert heat. When I am weak and broken, help me to remember to turn to You. Help me to bring to remembrance Your great love and faithfulness.

May I always choose You over sin and flesh. Teach me to walk in humility and forsake all manner of rebellion in my life. Strengthen me when I am weak.

Use me in the lives of the hurting and tired, and give me a heart of selflessness, so that I may glorify You with my life.

In Jesus name I pray this. I love you.
