Daily Hope & a Prayer – April 28

And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease… And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” Mark 5:25-29, 34 (ESV)

Dear Father,

Thank you for loving me in such a faithful and extravagant manner. You have made the same power that rose Christ from the dead available to me in my time of need. Thank you for mercy and grace that meets me in my darkest hour.

Lord, please give me determined faith that refuses to give up on You. Help me to trust You above all else. Help me to steadfastly pursue you in my hour of need. Keep me from becoming distracted or disillusioned by my trials or difficulties. Change me into someone that presses through pain, fear, and doubt in order that I might receive more of You. Give me an ever-increasing faith. Heal and deliver me in my areas of weakness. Teach me to choose peace and joy, over worry and doubt. Help me to shed shame and regret, and to abide in You and your love.

In Jesus name I pray this. I love you.
